Last week, Fast Company announced that it awarded Operation HOPE the World Changing Ideas Award in the Enduring Impact category. The World Changing Ideas Awards honor products, concepts, companies, policies, and designs that are pursuing innovation for good. “Operation HOPE is honored to be recognized by Fast Company for creating an idea that can— and will – change the world for the better,” said John Hope Bryant, Operation HOPE Founder, Chairman and CEO. “Through 1MBB, we are devising new ways to help Black business owners defy the odds, improve their overall financial wellness and ultimately build generational wealth. It’s no small task, but the data shows that we are making a true impact.” Data-centered impact and advocacy have become the center piece of our work. We are proud to announce that we have secured $26,230,275 in small business loans for Black-owned businesses enrolled in the One Million Black Business (1MBB) program and have enrolled and engaged 88,644 new Black-owned businesses through 1MBB, increasing the total number of businesses served to 257,731 since its October 2020 launch. |
