On May 5, 1992, in the shadow of civil unrest and a country in crisis, I boarded a bus with a handful of bankers and took them straight into South Central Los Angeles.
Not for a photo op. For a purpose.
We weren’t there to observe. We were there to invest—to spark capital, hope, and change in a community too often overlooked. That moment, born out of pain and urgency, became the beginning of what you now know as Operation HOPE.
That was 33 years ago today. And now, thanks to the unstoppable energy of our partners, supporters, and team—we’re still rolling.
I’m proud to share with you the 2024 Operation HOPE Impact Report, a snapshot of the progress we’ve made together. This isn’t just a celebration—it’s a call to keep building.
