I’ve learned a lot from my dear friend and mentor, Quincy Jones over the years. One of the things he shared with me, in his own “Quincy”-way, was that it takes 20 years to change a generation. And for the last twenty years, we’ve made dumb sexy. It’s hard to deny that what he said is true. I mean, look around. Our culture celebrates breaking all the rules and getting away with it. It’s as true in the political spheres of our society and pop culture, affecting both young and old alike.
