Last Friday I had a special opportunity to speak at the headquarters of the largest retailer in the world, Walmart, at their well know Friday ‘Family’ meeting.
Speaking in conversation with Doug McMillon, CEO of Walmart and my co-chair of Financial Literacy for All, Meeting with Walmart associates during their Friday Afternoon Meeting was a BIG deal, as Walmart is the #1 Fortune 500 company, and the largest retailer in the world.
Our mission at FL4A is nothing short of embedding financial literacy into the very business plan of and for America’s largest and most important businesses. We believe that financial literacy is today what the embedding of healthcare was 40 years ago.
I was honored to speak with so many company leaders on the importance of financial literacy. We believe that financial literacy is the civil rights issue of our generation.
I know they see the value of dedication and hard work – and the power of results.
We make a good team, and I’m excited to see what they do next.
