This year Operation HOPE is celebrating 30 years of impact and empowerment through financial literacy for communities around America. As HOPE and I continue reflecting on how far we’ve come, we become more motivated to continue on this path because there’s so much to achieve.

This video from the early 2000s is a reminder that if you want to make a difference in the world, you have to remain committed to the cause you’ve been assigned to by whatever Higher Power you serve or system of belief you ascribe to. For three decades now, I have been promoting the power of financial literacy and education. My message in 2007 is the same message I promote in my book “The Memo” — get as much education as you can get and leverage it for your future.

If you want to make a difference in this world, you’ll search within yourself to discover why you were born — your purpose — and then you’ll relentlessly pursue it until your last breath.

I am proud of how far we’ve come, and we have so much further to go. Thanks for staying in this fight with me. To find new ways to get involved and to help empower America’s youth, adults, and families with financial literacy, visit www.operationhope.org and drop us a line.

We look forward to hearing from you.
