We’ve got to cut it out. The infighting and bickering, the culture wars, and deep division have long exceeded their expiration date. It’s time for us to wake up and reclaim our place in the world as the ultimate symbol of hope, unity, and progress. It’s time for us to get back to who we are as a nation. We must embody the notion that you can do well by doing good.
For almost three years now I’ve been saying that the game has changed. The global pandemic and all of its economic challenges along with a series of explosive, groundbreaking social-moral events have shifted our understanding of the meaning of America, economics and finance, and capitalism itself. All of these concepts must be updated. The people are demanding more from their employers, governments, and the companies they support with their dollars. We cannot ignore this fact.
We’re fighting for the future of America right now. The key to our success as a nation is the fundamental understanding that we’re better together. When we ensure that everyone has an opportunity to thrive and when we all do our parts, we guarantee a stronger, safer, better America. The thing is, we must start now and we need the private sector to get involved. That includes social programs and including the social good as a key performance indicator for success.
