We’re in the final weeks of 2021 and I want to help set you up for success in 2022 and beyond. What will be crucial for that success is a changed perspective and a renewed mindset. We must change our thinking. Not should, but we must. It’s imperative.
We know very well the long-term effects and the social ills that plague us because of slavery’s long shadow. We continue to reconcile with that every day and seek justice in every area that we’ve been affected. But each one of us has to ask ourselves the question, “What is our response to the challenges that the past has brought to our present?” Will we lay down and accept what life has dealt us or will we take the reins of our life and overcome as generations have before us.
It’s time out for excuses. There’s too much work to be done and too much greatness inside each of us to idly sit by and become perpetual victims of the past.
