I had a very candid conversation with the CEO of the San Francisco 49ers, Jed York at the 2019 HOPE Global Forum. We talked about the BUSINESS of sports and why it’s so important to have a wealth mindset as a professional athlete.
He told me that he works hard to build a rapport with his players, especially when it comes to financial literacy. “You have to be able to develop trust with your players and let them know that you’re there for them,” Jed said. “But you have to show them that. You can’t just say it, you have to walk the walk.”
