“I’m honored to be apart of really wanting to make a difference in this world, and it starts one person at a time.” Those words from David Abney, Chairman and CEO of UPS, during his conversation with me and Ambassador Andrew Young at the 2019 HOPE Global Forum.
David is a perfect example of someone who worked his way to the top. He started as a dock worker and now runs a company with 500,000 employees. UPS is the third largest employer in the U.S and the seventh largest in the world. He talked about how the company has always had a focus on inclusion. Also, under his leadership, his employees have volunteered over 20 million hours of service to numerous organizations around the world.
