First Tennessee Bank announced last year its plan to partner with a global nonprofit to provide financial literacy services in select branches.

Today, that vision became a reality with the grand opening of the first FTB HOPE Inside office, in First Tennessee's Crosstown location. A second office is scheduled to launch this spring in a First Tennessee branch on Airways Boulevard.

HOPE Inside is an initiative presented by Operation HOPE Inc. that gives "clients the resources to improve their financial situations." The HOPE Inside offices provide counselors, workshops and client support. The services are free and open to the public.

A representative for First Tennessee said two locations are currently planned for Memphis, with additional locations set to open in other markets.
