The former Chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation brings her experience to the 2nd annual event
 
Atlanta – August 1, 2013 – Financial dignity nonprofit Operation HOPE announced today that the Honorable Sheila C. Bair, senior advisor to the Pew Charitable Trusts and former Chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, will be a featured keynote speaker for the HOPE Global Financial Dignity Summit on November 13th and 14th, 2013 at the International Convention Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
 
The summit, which will explore the Global Economic Recovery: How the Poor Can Help Save Capitalism,  expects to draw more than 1,000 delegates from around the world to discuss solutions for economic revival in underserved communities.
 
Ms. Bair served as FDIC chairman from June 2006 through June 2011. She presided over one of the most tumultuous periods in the history of the nation’s banking system, working to bolster public confidence and financial system stability. She has been a leading advocate and innovator of policies to end the doctrine of too-big-to-fail and taxpayer bailouts.
