Today is not only a great day for Global Dignity, as it is the launch of our first Global Dignity Forum, taking place here in Helsinki, Finland, this evening from 6-8pm (Finnish time), it is also the birthday of my dear friend and our Global Dignity co-founder (and a fellow former Young Global Leader as well).

Professor Pekka Himanen was the youngest Ph.D in philosphy in Finland's history, has written 15 books, many of which are bestsellers and have been translated into 20 languages around the world.  Professor Himanen advises heads of state, social movements and lectures around the world, and of course is the Global Dignity Country Chair in Finland.

Global Dignity was co-founded by HRH Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, Professor Pekka Himanen of Finland, and myself, a global citizen and resident of the United States of America.

Proud to call him my friend.  Working for others, a true example of Love Leadership, even on this special day.

Happy birthday my friend Pekka.  Happy birthday.
