Johann Koss is President and CEO of Right to Play, an NGO committed to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and their communities through the power of sport and play.

A four-time Olympic gold medallist, he became Chairman of the Norwegian Government Forum against Drugs and Doping in 1997. Koss is Chairman of MOT (Courage), an organization that mobilizes a
thletes against drugs and doping.

He was Member of the IOC Athlete’s commission and on the medical commission and executive board of the IOC 2000 commission.

He is a Founding Board Member of the World Anti-Doping Agency and initiated the athlete anti-doping passport. He sits on the Board of Glitnir Globe and Banking on People.

In1994, Koss was appointed Special Representative for Sport for UNICEF. He completed his medical training at the University of Queensland and his Executive MBA at the Universityof Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.

In 2005, he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Law from Carleton University 

Johann Koss is a member of the Forum of Young Global Leaders, and the co-founders HRH Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, Professor Pekka Himanen of Finland and John Hope Bryant, founder of Operation HOPE, along with the board of directors of Global Dignity, were honored to name him and Right to Play as a prominent Organizational Partner for Global Dignity.
