Amongst those attending the private luncheon included (right to left) Bernard Parks, Jr., Mohammad Nasserdeen, founder of Recycling Black Dollars, Rod McGrew, my best friend and senior advisor, the first lady of HOPE, Mrs. Sheila Kennedy Bryant, Los Angeles City Councilman Bernard Parks (and former Los Angeles Police Chief), Ambassador Young, Danny Bakewell, Sr., founder of the Brotherhood Crusade, Danny Bakewell, Jr., Ms. Washington, president of the Los Angeles NAACP, Bishop Charles E. Blake of West Angeles Church of God in Christ, Reverend Hunter of First A.M. E. Church, my friend Blair Taylor, president and CEO of the Los Angeles Urban League, and myself.

A good day for Los Angeles, and its collective future.

Onward, with HOPE
