Zviko Mudimu, the new Managing Director for Operation HOPE, South Africa

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am very passionate about Africa in general, and our on the ground work in South Africa in particular.  Recently we announced commitments of support on the ground in South Africa from the likes of JP Morgan Chase and Citi, amongst others.

Along with Cas Coovadia, Chief Executive of the South African Banking Association and Board Chair for HOPE, South Africa, and Sean Cleary, Chairman of the HOPE Global Advisory Board, I am pleased to announce Zviko Mudimu as our new Managing Director for Operation HOPE, South Africa. LOS ANGELES – July 15, 2015 – Operation HOPE today announced that Zviko Mudimu has joined as the Managing Director of Operation HOPE South Africa. In his position Zviko will help HOPE to further develop their growing portfolio of regional and national youth and adult empowerment programs in South Africa.  HOPE South Africa serves at the center of HOPE Global Initiatives.

Zviko’s wealth of experience, finance background, and industry knowledge has already made him a key addition to the HOPE team.”

Zviko Mudimu is a citizen of the world with deep African roots. He grew up in Harare, Zimbabwe, and moved to the United States for college. He is a graduate of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration Majoring in Marketing and a Master’s Degree in Financial Management. He has over ten years of experience in the financial industry having worked in a variety of roles serving organizations such as Barclays Africa, Deutsche Bank, Johnson Controls and Wells Fargo. Through his work he has spent time in England, Slovakia, Singapore, South Africa and the United States.

Zviko is an avid runner, reader, amateur cook, and passionate supporter of the Liverpool Football Club. He lives with his spouse and their books in Johannesburg, South Africa

Operation HOPE is a global leader in providing financial literacy empowerment for underserved youth and adults. He leads a talented team who share his passion of providing empowerment for youth, financial capability for communities, and ultimately, financial dignity for all. His goal is for Operation HOPE to become a leading voice in the drive for the economic participation of young people in South Africa, through advocacy, programs and policy engagement.
