I was blessed to represent the Operation HOPE organization late last year as we received the Hidden Heroes Award for our work on the ground (civil rights to silver rights empowerment) from the Andrew Goodman Foundation at the Schomburg Library in Harlem, New York.  Andrew Goodman is the young man who was killed along with two other civil rights soldiers, as they "went south" to help Dr. King, my hero and mentor Ambassador Andrew Young and the other movement leaders during Freedom Summers, for the civil rights movement.

I am of course honored to be associated with an award in the name of Andrew Goodman.  Now we have to live up to its potential for positive good in the world.

Onward with HOPE
