Join us today, July 12th, at 1:00 PM EST to watch Operation HOPE Founder, Chairman, and CEO John Hope Bryant at the Freedman’s Bank Forum giving opening remarks highlighting the legacy of the Freedman’s Bank. He’ll then have a Keynote Fireside Chat with Deputy Secretary Wally Adeyemo followed by a roundtable with the Deputy Secretary, HOPE Coaches, and Clients.
The Freedman’s Bank was established by President Abraham Lincoln and championed by Frederick Douglass as a means of helping newly freed slaves understand and thrive in America’s free market system. The Forum helps connect the mission of Freedman’s Bank to the modern-day financial dignity movement.
In 2016, Chairman Bryant and Operation HOPE inspired the renaming of the Treasury Annex Building in Washington, D.C., to the Freedman’s Bank Building in honor of the institution’s work that now lives on through HOPE.
Operation HOPE will be co-hosting this exciting event at HBCU Shaw University in Raleigh, NC.
