It’s Financial Literacy Month! And we’re kicking the month off with a new partnership announcement for HOPE’s 1 Million Black Businesses (1MBB) initiative. Recently, we launched our partnership with the City of Charlotte to help empower local entrepreneurs in our effort to create 1 million new Black businesses by 2030.
According to a local report, at the height of the pandemic, 85% of Black-owned businesses closed their doors. Now, with the support of the city and through our collaboration with Shopify, Operation HOPE is helping to restore hope to a community in search of self-determination and true economic empowerment.
