I am saddened to learn of the passing of Aubry Stone, founder and CEO of the California Black Chamber of Commerce. Aubry, affectionately known as Stoney, was a steadfast advocate for African Americans and African American business owners. On a personal note, he was a longtime friend and devoted supporter of mine and Operation HOPE from our early years and ongoing. He was a mentor, not just to me, but also to other HOPE leaders, including Lance Triggs, our senior executive vice president of program operations. His leadership and dedication will be greatly missed. I extend my deepest condolences to the Stone family and the greater community Aubry served, at this time.
