This final segment of the Andrew Young Presents documentary series for 2018, speaks to the final, unfinished work focused on poverty eradication by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. And his team of advisors — including his chief lieutenant (now Ambassador) Andrew Young.

Since his historic period serving alongside Dr. King, Ambassador Young has served as the first African-American congressman since Reconstruction, the 18th U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, a former two term mayor of Atlanta, co-chairman of the Atlanta Olympics, thought leader behind Atlanta’s evolution into the only international city in the South, recipient of over 100 honorary doctorate degrees, recipient of the highest citizen honor, the U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom, and most recently the founder and chairman of the Andrew Young Foundation, as well as becoming the Global Spokesman for Operation HOPE.

The last phase represented the final symphony of Dr. King’s broader work focused on ‘the triple evils of racism, war and poverty.’ Dr. King’s life was tragically cut short just as this final phase of ‘The Poor People’s Campaign’ was ramping up.

50 years later, civil rights icon Ambassador Andrew Young – the thought leader and innovator behind the south’s only international city – Atlanta, Georgia – believes that Operation HOPE has picked up the mantle and the unfinished work around poverty eradication and empowerment of the Invisible Class, at scale. Dr. King’s final flight, and his last remaining, unfinished work, is the focus of this documentary.

This documentary covers an expanded, revised and updated focus, spanning from ‘civil rights to silver rights,’ executive produced by civil rights icon Ambassador Andrew young, and is called ‘Andrew Young Presents: The Color of Money.’ Part of the storyline unpacks the power of credit scores and economic energy in modern society, and how empowering oneself changes lives and communities alike.

The Andrew Young Series is already Emmy Award winning, and the most recent documentary is already scheduled to air nationally over the next three months on approximately 150 television stations. It next airs in Atlanta, Georgia on WSB TV on December 30th.
