As HOPE Global Spokesman for Operation HOPE, civil rights icon Ambassador Andrew Young, often says, ‘coincidence is God’s way of staying anonymous.’  It was a strange and wonderful coincidence last week when I showed up for the opening of a satellite HOPE Inside location on the westside of Atlanta at a Chick-Fil-A location, with our partner SunTrust Banks, to find myself face to face with an inspiring Operation HOPE success story as our new host.

Introducing Mr. Quincy L.A. Springs, IV, the new owner-operator for the Chick-Fil-A Restaurant in the Westside Village at 875 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Atlanta, Ga.  In addition to just being a natural and inspiring leader in his own right, the Operation HOPE family are proud to also acknowledge Mr. Springs and his wife as esteemed graduates of the Operation HOPE Entrepreneurship Training Program (ETP) at another HOPE Inside Atlanta location.

And so, as fate would have it, a HOPE Inside program graduate was now an owner-operator of a business that now hosted a new HOPE Inside satellite location.  You cannot make this up, but this is just the kind of community based, bottoms up empowerment that we have in mind with the growth and expansion of Operation HOPE and the Silver Rights Movement.

Quincy Springs is part of a new generation of responsible minority capitalist businessmen and businesswomen with a heart.  A part of my long term silver rights vision of creating and nurturing a new business image of ourselves that a generation of those I speak about in The Memo — the Invisible Class — can role model.

Here is how you show appreciation for all that the likes of Quincy Springs are doing to improve our community — go and give him some business.

When you are in the city, go and visit his Chick-Fil-A Restaurant in the Westside Village at 875 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Atlanta, Ga.  Let me know what you think.

Let’s go…

John Hope Bryant
