Last week I had the distinct honor of speaking to a large portion of students at the #1 school in Detroit, Michigan, called the Cornerstone School, and I now understand why they are a top school.
A founder, administrator, and a team that cares, strong leadership, and HIGH expectations. For every — young person there.
Invited to speak by my new friend Mark Davidoff, managing partner for Deloitte, I learned just as much as I taught. I got, just as much as I gave. At the end of the day, everyone left the experience, better.
To underscore this point, I signed a copy of my last bestselling book, “How The Poor Can Save Capitalism,” for every senior student, and then they blessed me by showing me the below video. These 10 young Cornerstone stars are now Deloitte Fellows, and will get a chance to work closely with my friend Mark Davidoff and his team. Check it out for yourself. Pretty — cool.
A special thank you to Operation HOPE leader Ryan Mack, for hanging with me for the day.
One person can make a difference. Be that one person.
