CSR 2014 Partner of the Week: Operation HOPE

Week of May 30, 2014

This “Partner of the Week” is just one example that shows what all our partners do every day. The financial services industry provides extraordinary services to communities throughout America. Employees of FSR partners volunteer throughout the year for financial literacy, neighborhood improvement, fundraising, health care, child services, and much more. Every Financial Service Roundtable partner dedicates some of their time to community service in the communities they serve.

“This agreement sets the stage for Operation HOPE’s Project 5117, our multi-year initiative to empower underserved communities,” said HOPE Founder, Chairman and CEO John Hope Bryant. “Together with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, we have a greater opportunity to broaden our mission, reach more Americans, offer more services and empower more people.”

Through the Memorandum of Understanding, both organizations will merge resources in order to educate American consumers. HOPE will encourage its participating members to utilize CFPB publications during the Project 5117 campaign while also developing ways to integrate CFPB publications with Operation HOPE educational outreach programs.

Operation HOPE was founded in 1992 and is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA. It promotes financial dignity through financial literacy and education tools to underserved communities. It has four core portfolios that have provid
ed youth and adult financial literacy, economic preparedness, digital empowerment, and home ownership to more than two million Americans. Operation HOPE is now focused on Project 5117, a multi-year initiative that will track and increase business role models for youth, boost credit scores for adults, and empower underserved communities.

Congratulations Operation HOPE!
