I was honored to join Don Graves of the White House and Detroit Mayor Michael Duggan last week for listening and action session for the President's Advisory Council on Financial Capability for Young Americans, of which I am a Member, as well as an indepth discussion around Project 5117 and the 'solutions' outlined in my new book.

There are significant announcements coming from us here, but a special thank you in advance to Mayor Duggan and the City of Detroit, HUD (U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development), Bank On Detroit Foundation, the Greater Detroit Chamber of Commerce, New Detroit and one of our important partners in the city, Fifth Third Bank.  A very special thank you also, to JP Morgan Chase, who graciously sponsored and distributed copies of my new book, How The Poor Can Save Capitalism, to participants of both the City Hall and Community Meetings on this day in Detroit.

Ryan Mack from my team (born and raised in Detroit, and now running our Mid-Atlantic states group) wrote and published this piece today in the Huffington Post on our coming work in the city.

A special thank you as well to Jena Roscoe from my HOPE Government Relations & Public Policy team in Washington, D.C., and my Operation HOPE, Detroit team there, led by Michele Hurst-Burton.  She is doing a fine job there.

Okay, let's go.
