founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Operation HOPE to serve as a member of the President’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability for Young Americans (The Council) the empowerment nonprofit reported. This will be Bryant’s second appointment to The Council.

“It is an honor to serve the President Obama Administration and use my years of knowledge and experience to advance the understanding and financial capability for Americans,” said Bryant. “Strengthening the financial capability of our communities is an investment in our nation's economic prosperity.”

As a member of the committee, Bryant will work with the Secretary of the Treasury, the Secretary of Education, the Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and other federal agencies to advise the President and the Secretary of the Treasury on how to promote financial capability among young Americans and encourage building the financial capability of young people at an early stage in schools, families, communities, and the workplace and through use of technology.

During his previous service, Bryant served as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Underserved and Community Empowerment for the President Obama’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability. Through his leadership, the formation of more than 100 local financial literacy councils for cities, counties and states have been officially announced.
