Award-winning journalist to lead discussions on financial dignity and inclusion at Operation HOPE’s annual event

 ATLANTA – September 12, 2013 –Leading journalist Soledad O’Brien has just signed on to serve as master of ceremonies at the HOPE Global Financial Dignity Summit on November 13 -14, 2013 in Atlanta. 

The two-day Summit, hosted by nonprofit Operation HOPE, will include various and speakers and working group sessions focused on this year’s theme, Global Economic Recovery: How the Poor Can Help Save Capitalism. The event is expected to draw 1,000 of the most influential financial industry professionals, government decision-makers and faith leaders from more than 50 countries to frame the issue of financial inclusion, small businesses, entrepreneurship, and financial dignity as essential components to mid- and long-term economic recovery and stability. 

O’Brien currently serves as a special correspondent for the newly launched Al Jazeera America television station through her production company, Starfish Media Group. In this role, she contributes short-form segments for the channel’s primetime current affairs magazine program “America Tonight,” and Starfish will be producing hour-long documentary specials.
