STEVE HARVEY MENTORING WEEKEND KICKS OFF THIS WEEK; OPERATION HOPE PRESENTS
June 16-19 in Dallas Steve Harvey will his 3rd Annual Steve Harvey Mentoring Weekend for Young Men. It's a 4-day, 3-night weekend, created by Harvey, designed to share and teach the principles of manhood and dream building to 125 teenage boys (fifty boys from the Dallas-area, sixty-five boys from around the country, and ten junior counselors), ages 13-18 who are without fathers in their lives. The weekend will welcome back ten boys from previous years to serve as junior counselors to help guide the new boys through the weekend.
Sponsorship support for the Steve Harvey Mentoring Weekend for Young Men comes from American Airlines, Comfort Inn, State Farm, the National Guard, K&G Fashion Superstore, Outback Steakhouse, General Mills, Kmart, U.S. Army, The Home Depot, Buttons Restaurant, SoftSheen-Carson, Coca-Cola, Burger King, Premiere Radio Networks and Hillshire Farm. The Steve Harvey Foundation Parent Program is sponsored by Essence Magazine, Ford Motor Company and Buttons Restaurant.
The goal of the program is to break the misguided traits of manhood through frank talk, team-building activities and workshops led by educational supporters, entrepreneurs and other business and entertainment leaders including Dr. Steve Perry, Will Packer, John Hope Bryant, Terrence J, Stephen A. Smith, Lee and more.
The Operation HOPE team will also be present, providing our award winning Banking on our Future financial literacy programming for youth, there.
