Young, Watson with Portrait

On April 30, 2011 the portrait of Ambassador Young was presented as part of the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery. The portrait was a gift of Jack Watson, Chairman of the National Portrait Gallery Commission. Hundreds of friends, family, and colleagues joined Ambassdor Young for this occasion. A gala reception was sponsored by ING North America, Newsmax Media, Hank and Billye Aaron and Legacy Champagne.

On Friday, April 29 at the Renwick Gallery in Washington, DC the Coca Cola Company hosted a reception in honor of Ambassador Young on the weekend of the presentation of his portrait at the National Portrait Gallery. The event was attended by friends and family from Atlanta, as well as friends and colleagues from around the country.
