Residents of Hawaii, Alaska, and Wyoming are the most likely among residents of U.S. states to be "thriving," while residents of West Virginia and Kentucky are the least likely. Residents of Georgia, Texas, and Louisiana are also buoyed up to the top of the list by their optimism about life five years from now.
