This week, while visiting Operation HOPE, Denver, we met with Colorado Securities Commissioner Fred Joseph, who is also the acting Colorado Banking Commissioner, now serving under HOPE friend Governor John Hickenlooper. The Commissioner is supportive of our work and is an active advocate for financial literacy empowerment and investment education, and given his credibility and reputation in the state, our association could prove very beneficial to advancing our work there.

Mr. Joseph is the Securities Commissioner for the State of Colorado.  He was appointed to that position in May of 1999.  In that role, he is responsible for the administration of the Colorado Securities Act, the Colorado Commodity Code, the Colorado Municipal Bond Supervision Act, and the Local Government Investment Pool Trust Fund Administration and Enforcement Act.  He also oversees the regulatory agency that licenses stockbrokers, brokerage firms and investment advisers in Colorado.  See his full bio here.
