Nkanyiso Mweli spreading HOPE
Dear friends of HOPE,

It is with great sorrow that I announce that our Program Manager in South Africa, Nkanyiso Mweli,  referred to by John Hope Bryant as the "South African Bill Robinson" for his selfless passion and dedication,  passed away on Saturday morning, October 31.  They have determined his death was due to heart failure.  We ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Nkanyiso, whose name means “Bright”, was a shining star for Operation HOPE and our global silver rights movement and his work to empower South Africa’s youth and women is unprecedented.  Within two years, Nkanyiso single handedly educated over 11,000 youth and women and his legacy will live on.  No matter what challenge he faced, Nkanyiso always had a positive solution and we will miss him dearly as our work in South Africa has only just begun.

We will keep everyone posted on a scholarship fund for Nkanyiso's three year old daughter.
