Bill Walbrecher Dear friends,

As I reflect tonight on my 3-years (October 6) with Operation HOPE, I think of the many accomplishments we have achieved together.  Where to start … 5MK, Financial Literacy Education Summit, Harlem HOPE Center Grand Opening, Bankers Bus Tours, Wall Street in the Black, Financial Literacy Education is now the policy of the U.S. Government, HOPE and BOOF in South Africa, re-imagining our businesses, many financial achievements, new partners and renewed partners and most important serving the poor and the unbanked.  I could go on and on but I truly believe that we are thinking the unthinkable, and achieving the impossible.  Behind it all are people who have a passion for the work they do.  Work that matters.  Chairman John Bryant’s vision and his book, LOVE LEADERSHIP are truly love stories.  It is Camelot.  It is HOPE.

"There is a tide in the affairs of men, which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune; omitted, all the voyage of their life Is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat, and we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures."  ~ Julius Caesar Act 4, scene 3, 218-224

I think Julius Caesar said it all … "On such a full sea are we now afloat…"  I am proud to be associated with each of you and proud to be part of HOPE.   We do something of value and we have yet to tap a substantial share of our potential.  “…we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures.”
