July_05_232_1One of my sheroes, Dr. Dorothy Height and I, after our panel session together on civil rights and the future, at the National Urban League’s 95th Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. last week.

Here Dr. Height and I pose with an autographed copy (I have like a half dozen of these – smile!) of her fantastic book, "Open Wide Freedom’s Gate,"which she was gracious enough to sign for every lady in my office, as a token of appreciation from HOPE.

A little trivia — did you know that if not for Dr. Height, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. literally would not have spoken, giving his famous "I Have a Dream Speech" at the historic March on Washington, during the height of the civil rights movement?

Onward, with HOPE
