On June 7th, 2005, Operation HOPE and its partners, friends and volunteer professional HOPE Corps members brought a powerful message around our Silver Rights Movement to Fruitvale Elementary School in Oakland, California, where Cherie Ivey is its loving principal — and the chief role model for the excellent youth that call the school their second home.
