Last week, Operation HOPE hosted a community bus tour in Los Angeles to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the LA Riots. The riots, which were the major catalyst for the birth of Operation HOPE, stemmed from a mixture of racial tension and police brutality. However, the bus tour and press conference served as a point of reconciliation and healing, and a shared vision of community growth and progress. Activists and organizers from both the Black and Asian communities, as well as Los Angeles mayor Andrew Garcetti, among other notable guests, were present.

News of the events reached a number of major media outlets, including the Los Angeles Times. You can read the full article here for free.

Rodney King famously asked, “Can  we all get along?” It looks like we can and we will.
