We live in a digital age where we spend most of our time on one digital platform or another. The pandemic has only amplified our reliance on the internet to find services and purchase goods. That being said, any business (for profit and nonprofit) that wants to survive and thrive in the 21st century has to have some form of a web presence. That’s the new marketplace. That’s where people are.

Black business owners should be making money in their sleep. Even if they have a brick and mortar location, they should in some way offer the same services, or access to said services, from their online store. When the doors of the building are locked, the money making machine should still be open.

That’s what HOPE is offering to each of its 1MBB participants through our partnership with Shopify. We train our entrepreneurs, help them get their credit right, and give them about $25K in free tools and resources to pivot in a way that will help them succeed in greater ways than they ever imagined.
