I’ve done what I believe to be thousands of interviews over the years, but this interview was special. Black News Channel (BNC) pulled together a beautiful introductory reel that summarized a large portion of who I am, what I’ve worked to accomplish, how I’ve gotten there and where I am now. It’s special because it’s so important for the public and members of the African American community in particular to see images and hear stories of Black achievement that go beyond the basketball court, the football field, and center stage of a concert at a music venue. We have to start making smart sexy again, and I am humbled that BNC would feature me in this way.
