I’m pleased to announce that Operation HOPE, Inc., has named E. Philip Wenger, chairman, president, and CEO of Pennsylvania-based financial holding company, Fulton Financial Corporation, to its global board of directors.

We are fortunate to have Phil’s support in the mission and work of HOPE—he is a dynamic leader.

 

Phil joined Fulton Bank in 1979, and held a variety of positions in the corporate lending area before being promoted to executive vice president of Corporate Banking in 1996. In 2001, he was named senior executive vice president of the Lancaster, York, and Chester Counties Division and in 2003 he was promoted to the position of president and chief operating officer of Fulton Bank. In 2006, he was named chairman and chief executive officer of Fulton Bank. He was also named senior executive vice president of Fulton Financial Corporation, the parent company of Fulton Bank, at the time as well. Phil was promoted to president and chief operating officer in December 2008. He assumed his current position on January 1, 2013.

Operation HOPE’s global board includes, Jim Clifton, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Gallup, Inc.; Lisa Borders, President, Women’s National Basketball Association; Frank Martell, Chief Executive Officer, CoreLogic; and Robb Webb, SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer, Tenet Healthcare.
