John Hope Bryant explains the economics of rioting, addressing reports of rioting in Milwaukee. He poses the question, “Why are we rioting?” Bryant founded Operation HOPE in 1992, which was born out of the Rodney King Riots of 1992. He explains, “You can’t be angry for a living.” Rioting is counterproductive, because people are destroying their own neighborhoods and communities. People are burning down the very businesses that are providing jobs in the community. “There are no good economics to rioting.” He encourages America to raise the economic energy and embrace a better way of protesting their concerns to achieve a better result.

“Operation HOPE is a radical movement of common sense.”
