“Life is about aspiration and opportunity. If you don’t have the opportunity, the chance, the shot at operationalizing your smarts, your talents, or your education, then life has a concrete ceiling rather than a glass one.”

John Hope BryantHow the Poor Can Save Capitalism: Rebuilding the Path to the  Middle Class

To live is to aspire.

Regardless of who we are; where we come from, our aspirations, whether big or small; individual or collective, fuel our lives and form our experiences.

Take a look at someone’s personal budget and you see an expression of their values and aspirations. The truth is that although most of us are not native to the language of economics, economics drive our aspirations.

Here at Operation HOPE, our strategy is clear: make free enterprise accessible to all by providing people with the financial training and tools they need to realize their aspirations.

You see, a truly inclusive global economy needs all the players on the field—including those traditionally left to wait it out indefinitely on the sidelines: women, low- and moderate-income communities, young people, minorities, developing nations, etc. Building an economy for all ensures that the right conversations are taking place, and more importantly, the right resources—training, empowerment and development—are being deployed around the world to create economically stabilized communities.

This is the work that we do at Operation HOPE every day through Project 5117, our multi-year four-pronged approach to combating economic inequality that aims to improve financial literacy, increase business role models and business internships for youth, empower women and girls, and stabilize the American dream by boosting credit scores.

Operation HOPE’s impact extends beyond individuals; beyond present day—it restores families, starts businesses, uplifts communities and sets up generations with the inheritance of a progressive future.

We help make aspirations come true. Join us!
