Rev CT Vivian

We are honored to be able to properly honor my friend, a Just Brothers Member and elder statesman, the Reverend C.T. Vivian, at the Opening Reception for our HOPE Global Forum Annual Meeting, 2016, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Rev. Vivian, who worked right alongside Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Ambassador Andrew Young and others in the civil rights movement, received the U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama, and is a genuine hero of and for the civil rights movement.

Forever young, he is 90 years old, sharp as ever, and wholly engaged in the business of moving our communities forward. He never stops, and neither should we.   He remains positive and full of hope, and we should be also.

He is a role model for a ‘real Black Man,’ and so it is fitting and appropriate that he will receive the HOPE Award on the evening of a special session entitled “The Aspirational Future of Young Black Men in America.”

See the announcement concerning Dr. Vivian’s award here, and more on the HOPE Global Forum Annual Meeting here.
