How the Poor Can Save Capitalism Tour of 2014.

Harriett Tubman once suggested that she could have set more slaves free, had to acknowledged that they were slaves.

There are many people today who need to set themselves free.  Poverty today, I am convinced, is not principally about ‘money.’ Sustenance is certainly about money, but that is not what I am talking about either.  I am talking about the poverty of spirit.

I cover this topic in great detail in my newest, bestselling book, “How The Poor Can Save Capitalism,” but the below graph illustrate this better than I can describe it in mere words.

Setting yourself free in today’s day and age has a less to do with how others see you, and everything to do with how you see yourself.

Setting yourself free is about feeling — in time — reasonably comfortable in your own skin.

Seeing yourself free is about loving yourself.  Frankly, if you cannot love yourself, you cannot love anyone else.

If you don’t like yourself, you cannot like anyone else.

If you don’t respect yourself, you cannot respect anyone else.

And here is the big one — if I don’t have a purpose in my life, I am going to make your life a living hell.

There was a time when setting yourself free was purely physical.  You were physically held back in some way.  But today, increasingly, setting yourself free is almost entirely mental. Mental, emotional and psychological.  Being free today has a lot to do with how you feel about — well you.
