No one washes rental cars.

This was my message last week before the First Horizon/First Tennessee Bank Annual Leadership Forum in Memphis, Tennessee, with the bank’s 200 most senior executive leaders.  Treat it like you own it.

This highly successful company is run by Bryan Jordan, a friend and a CEO who I would swear has a First Tennessee tattoo hidden somewhere on his body. Bryan Jordan is all in. He is what my friend Jim Clifton, CEO of Gallup, would describe as a 'true believer.' 

What Bryan Jordan needs more than anything, to produce even more growth within and for his organization, is the same thing most anyone else needs at their place of work or business — more highly engaged workers.  

Another way to describe a highly engaged worker is a ’true believer.’  And the one trait describes these individuals above all others is – they're all in.  

They don’t get half pregnant.  They have both feet, along with their heart, head and soul in the arena.
