Jeff Schmid is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mutual of Omaha Bank. He also serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Omaha Financial Holdings, Inc. (OFHI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mutual of Omaha and the holding company for Mutual of Omaha Bank.
 
As Chairman and CEO, Schmid leads Mutual of Omaha Bank in its mission of building a banking franchise in select U.S. markets and creating a national financial services platform for individuals and businesses. Today, Mutual of Omaha Bank has $7 billion in assets and operates a network of bank locations in 10 states. The bank reaches clients in all 50 states with a portfolio of banking solutions including residential mortgages, remote deposit services and e-banking.
 
Schmid joined Mutual of Omaha Bank in January 2007, starting his banking career in 1989. Previously, he served 8 years as a regional bank examiner with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp (FDIC). Schmid serves on the Board of Directors for Mutual of Omaha Bank, Children’s Scholarship Fund of Omaha, Accelerate Nebraska, the Executive Board of the COX School of Business at Southern Methodist University, and the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking.
 
Schmid earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln and is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU.
