Since my new book, How The Poor Can Save Capitalism: Rebuilding the Path to the Middle Class, came out on June 2nd, 2014, I have been in the midst of an intense, inspiring, exciting and ongoing 100-City Book Tour. The Tour, which has been a huge success to date, was designed to not only introduce my new book (now a legitimate bestseller) to leaders across the country, but to hopefully begun to ‘bake in’ a new and bold thought process — we can use the untapped power of the free enterprise system to unleash the untapped potential of the poor, the underserved and the struggling middle class (the ‘teetering class’).

In a little more than two months I have concluded more than 70 media interviews and engaged in several very substantive Book Tour events, including Gallup, Mutual of Omaha Bank, Microsoft, Wells Fargo (Los Angeles), FEMA, the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, SunTrust Banks (Atlanta and Washington, D.C.) and others. We were honored to have BookTV to cover the very first Book Tour event in full T the Gallup Headquarters building in Washington, D.C.

Major networks have asked me to appear on their shows as I travel across the country, which I have been honored to do. They include CNBC’s Squawk Box and On The Money, several shows on Fox Business News and others. Public broadcasting stations have been fantastic, ranging from Barry Kibrick’s national Between the Lines television show, to Minneapolis Public Radio, Wisconsin Public Radio, New York Public Radio and a host of others.

The book has sustained itself as a bestseller in its category on the Apple iBooks platform, as well as Amazon.com (eBooks and physical hard copy), Barnes & Nobles and for business, CEOREAD. Positive reviews for the book have flowed in from Publisher’s Weekly, the Library Journal, TIME Magazine and others.

In this short period of time there is even an audiobook version, using a professional announcer’s voice instead of mine because I just could make it all work schedule wise. A good problem to have with a new book.

To date, foreign book language rights for the new book have been acquired for Greek, Korean, Portuguese and Arabic.

At this very moment I am headed into Sacramento, California to speak as part of the Tour for and with Mayor Kevin Johnson there. To put it in a short sentence, we have momentum.

The best is yet to come, with a couple major announcements to come. Stay tuned.
