Tallahassee, FL (WTXL) – The Florida Legislative Black Caucus is bringing John Hope Bryant, Founder and CEO of Operation HOPE as the featured speaker at the FLBC Distinguished Lecture Series.

He will keynote the  Black History celebration on February 12.

The session is scheduled to beheld at the  State Capitol in the  4th Floor, House Chambers at 6:00 pm.  The event is free and open to the public.

This year Black History month observance coincides with the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

John Hope Bryant, is an entrepreneur and businessman, author, thought leader, and philanthropist. He was named one of TIME Magazine’s 50 (Leaders) for the Future and he has been an adviser to President Barack Obama and  Former U.S. presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton.

Bryant is a former UN Goodwill Ambassador and a partner to former President Clinton and his financial literacy foundation. 

Currently, Bryant serves President Barack Obama as Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Underserved and Community Empowerment for the President’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability. He focuses on the establishment of local financial literacy councils for cities, counties, and states.
