On Growing Up Credit Starved and Ignorant

Growing up my dad would obtain a loan from say, a local car dealer, who“carried his own paper.” The problem is, the gentleman who owned the dealership didnot report good news (and no one demanded that they did). They only reported badnews, when my father didn’t pay. In short, he got no credit when he paid, and totalcredit when he didn’t.
