The mission of Operation HOPE, Inc. (HOPE) is to make free enterprise work for all through financial dignity empowerment programs.  HOPE was founded in 1992 in Los Angeles in response to the civil unrest in the city that year.  On November 14th, 2013, HOPE added the designation as America’s first nonprofit software company, specializing in “the software of human development.”

Since its inception, HOPE has served more than 2 million individuals, directed more than $1.5 billion in private capital to America's low-wealth communities, and with the help and support of 22,000 HOPE Corps volunteers and 5,000 partners from government, community and the private sector, currently serves more than 300 U.S. cities, as well as South Africa, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and most recently, the United Arab Emirates.  

HOPE executives on his cutting edge, community change mission through three divisions and two strategic focuses; namely Project 5117 and HOPE Coalition America.  

HOPE seeks to continue the unfinished poverty eradication work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., through Project 5117. The global headquarters is located at Wilshire Boulevard and Hope Street in downtown Los Angeles, California, and the moral headquarters of HOPE’s work is centered in HOPE Inside, Ebenezer, which anchors the Martin Luther King, Sr. Community Resource Complex on the King Center campus in Atlanta, Georgia. Moving America, and the underserved of our world, from civil rights justice to silver rights empowerment for all.
