Tami Door, CEO of Downtown Denver Partnership, to Co-Chair Denver 2020
We are honored to announce that Ms. Tami Door, CEO of the influential Downtown Denver Partnership, has signed on to co-chair Denver 2020 along with former Denver Mayor Wellington Webb. Tami's reputation and credibility in the Denver leadership community speaks for itself, but for those less familiar her background can be seen here, amongst other places.
I am particularly proud to have a prominent business person who happens to also be a woman as the co-chair in a progressive city such as Denver, for Operation HOPE's coming Denver 2020 initiative. Denver 2020 is supported by Mayor Michael Hancock, the City of Denver and includes an on the ground partnership with the Denver Public School system. Denver 2020 is an anchor and part of the larger America 2020 Campaign to revitalize America's low-wealth communities, and builds on Dr. King's unfinished work of poverty eradication and empowerment.
Phase I of our work in Denver, for Denver 2020, will be the launch of HOPE Business In A Box Academies.
