Fifty years ago, an empowering moment in our nation’s history unfolded: the March on Washington where the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous “I Have A Dream Speech”. Fifty years later we celebrate this iconic March and speech and what they mean.

Operation HOPE, The King Center, Kaplan University, Target Corporation, and Discovery Education collaborated to bring history to life with #MLK50 at the School Without Walls on August 27, 2013, in Washington D.C. Through panel discussions, students from grades 4 through 12 were exposed to living legends and current leaders fighting against inequalities in our nation.
